Starting Point
Sultan Drinks sells beverages — and not in small quantities. The business is growing, and so is the customer base. But the existing online shop was outdated and slow, and order processing was largely manual. Every order that came in online had to be handled by hand. That took time, and mistakes happened.
Deposit handling and VAT were particular problems. Austria and Germany have different deposit regulations, and every EU market plus Bosnia comes with its own VAT rates. The old system couldn't handle that cleanly. Every market expansion meant manual special treatment for every order.
The expansion into Germany was already decided — but the existing system couldn't be extended. A full rebuild was needed, not a patch.

We rebuilt the online shop from scratch — with an architecture that accounts for multiple markets, currencies, and legal requirements from the outset. No retrofitting; a system built for the purpose.
Result
Sultan Drinks now sells EU-wide plus Bosnia — from a single MedusaJS system. Orders from all markets flow automatically through the same platform. No manual typing, no transfer errors.
Deposit is automatically calculated for deliveries to Austria and Germany and added to the cart. VAT is correct for every country — whether the order comes from Vienna, Berlin, Sarajevo, or any other EU country. What used to require tedious case-by-case handling now runs fully automatically in the background.
The system is built for the entire EU market. Sultan Drinks can focus on selling — not on administration.
